Photomosaic Program Frequently Asked Questions
How many photos can I submit?
Each person may submit up to ten (10) photographs.
How many video links can I submit?
Each person may submit up to five (5) video links.
How do I submit my photograph/video?
Enter the site at: http://www.stjohnsartwall.com . Select "Photomosaic Program" located on the left side of your screen. You will be guided through 4 simple steps. Begin by selecting "Upload Now!"
When can I begin to submit photographs?
August 1, 2008 - Pacific Daylight Time.
When is the last day that I can submit photographs?
December 30, 2009
Must I sign a release or consent for the use of my photographs, videos, etc.?
Yes. We cannot accept any photographs/videos with which you have not allowed us display consent.
Will the jpg of my artwork or my video artwork be displayed on the Public Website Gallery?
The jpg's/video links that are displayed in the Public Website Gallery are chosen by a curator. The jpg that you submit may or may not be selected. The web gallery will be updated so check back to look for your image.
How large can my photo file be?
Each image file should be in the range of 640x480 to 1800x1200 with a resolution as high as 300dpi and file size should not exceed 1MB. Please only submit ".jpg" files.
What if my photo doesn't have the resolution requested?
Go ahead and submit it- we still might be able to use it.
What kind of files can I submit?
Photographs - please submit ".jpg files"
Videos - please submit the links where the video is resident. Do not submit the actual video.
Can photos be cropped?
It is best that you not alter or crop the photograph in any way.

Community Art Program Frequently Asked Questions
How many jpg's of my artwork can I submit?
Each person may submit up to fifteen (15) jpg's.
How many video links can I submit?
Each person may submit up to five (5) video links.
What artwork mediums will be considered for the Community Art Program?
Painting, Drawing, Photography, Videography and Mixed Media (including Metal, Sculpture, Textile and Collage) are all acceptable art mediums for this Art Program.
How do I submit my jpg/video?

How are images selected for inclusion?
When a theme is chosen, submissions are selected based on their relationship to the show's theme. When no theme has been chosen, submissions are selected and organized for a theme to organically emerge.
What are the submission dates for the current submission period?
We will be accepting submissions until from October 1, 2009 through December 30, 2009 for this grouping.
I live in Orange County, can I submit artwork?
As part of Saint John's community outreach, we endeavor to support and recognize who live or work in the Santa Monica, greater Westside LA area.

Works that are chosen for the digital art wall in the Howard Keck Cafeteria are done so by a curator for each themed exhibition. The jpeg of your art or video piece that you submit may or may not be selected to be part of these exhibitions.
How large can my jpg file be?

I like your idea of the gallery however is there a payment to the artist for their images, like a certain amount for the amount of days they are shown?
The Community Art Gallery was created as a way to offer artists visibility, not only to the thousands of visitors who will see their art through the program, but also as a way for curators to be more familiar with artists and their work for potential commissions.
